March Madness
This years March has been full of madness. The NCAA busted every bracket challenge world wide after just 40 games where many of America's top picks --- Duke, Villanova, Louisville, and Virginia -- didn't make it past the second round. The 2017 final four was also a huge surprise as it included 3 of 4 teams who had never or only been once to the semifinals, and also included the team who had the most visits ever. The tournaments shining star belongs, most likely, to the South Carolina Gamecocks who were ranked a seven seed and stormed their way to the school's first ever Final Four. They beat highly ranked competitors including Duke, Baylor, and Marquette (basically busting everyone's bracket!).
And finally the winner of 2017’s NCAA tournament was North Carolina, who battled for well-deserved redemption against fellow number one seed Gonzaga. Although in several polls UNC was ranked highest to win, many people were skeptical. It was, however, both teams outstanding defense that got them their respective titles of first and second place!
