As springtime rolls around, we start a whole new chapter of sports. One of our strong spring sports at Watauga is our women’s soccer team(varsity). This is a big season for most players because it will be their last time in a Watauga jersey. On the 2016 roster there are nine seniors with Tristin Derrick, Kass Alvarez, and Kathryn Stevens committed to continue their soccer career at the collegiate level. These ladies have battled with five other teams so far this season with two wins and a tied game. As we all know that next week is spring break, that will mark the halfway point of the season. Head coach Woody McKay will hopefully lead the Lady Pioneers to a victory at South Caldwell.
